Kjartan Lauritzen
In record time, Kjartan Lauritzen has gone from being an almost normal boy from Balestrand in Sogn og Fjordane to becoming Norway's new rap superhero. A joyful character and a rare talent for rap technique laid the foundation for the journey that has so far given him a total of over 30 million streams on the hits Fredag and Havanna.
Kjartan Lauritzen, real name Per Áki Sigurdsson Kvikne, in just a few years has moved from small club gigs to big festival stages, always delivering a show of high international quality.
2025 will be a big year for Kjartan Lauritzen. He turns 30 and marks his 10th anniversary as the artist Kjartan Lauritzen. In March, he played his biggest solo concert ever to a packed Oslo Spektrum, and the concert received a six on the dice from the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK's reviewer. In addition, in 2025 he took part in ‘Hver gang vi møtes’ on TV2.
Kjartan studied in Bergen and has previously played at classic Bergen venues such as Hulen, Kvarteret, USF Verftet – and later at Feelings and Bergenfest. He has been nominated for several Spellemann Awards and P3 Gold.
There's nothing better than Kjartan Lauritzen closing Hallaien and Welcome Week – and of course on a Friday!
